Prof Seow Liang Lin

Prof Dr Seow Liang Lin received her postgraduate training in prosthodontics from the Eastman Dental Institute (UK) and University of Manchester, UK (PhD). 


For the past few years, the School has obtained numerous accolades under her leadership, namely the prestigious Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE) Aspire Excellence award in Curriculum Design, obtained 7 years accreditation for the BDS programme (first dental school to obtain the maximum period of accreditation), finalist for the AKRI Award (Special Award of Ministry of Higher Education), brought in the haptics dental simulators and digital dentistry to enhance students’ learning. 


She is an appointed member of the Malaysian Dental Council by the Minister of Health, Malaysia and an appointed examiner for the MFDS examination of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Dr Low Yi Ning

Dr Low Yi Ning completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at IMU in 2017 and began her career in private practice. 

In 2022, she co-founded We Smile Dental Clinic in Bukit Bintang, where she serves as Principal Dentist. 

She is currently pursuing her Master of Dental Surgery in Periodontology at the highly renowned Faculty of Dentistry, University of Hong Kong. 

Outside of dentistry, she is also a national athlete representing Malaysia in competitive wakesurfing.

Prof Muneer Gohar Babar

Prof Muneer Gohar Babar is the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at IMU University, School of Dentistry in Malaysia. 

He holds a BDS, followed by postgraduate qualifications in Conservative Dentistry (MDSc), PG Diploma in Health Planning and Management (DHP&M), Master in Public Health (MPH), and a PhD. 

Since the early 2000s, Prof Muneer has shaped dental education through curriculum development, innovative assessment design, and the integration of educational technology. 

A Fellow of the IMU Centre of Education and named IMU eLearning Guru, his research focuses on dental home visits, empathy, and EdTech. 

He is an active researcher and author, serves as a Secondary Proposer for COST, and holds ACC coaching certification, all of which reflect his commitment to faculty and student development.
